Rigel to Present at Bear Stearns 2005 London Healthcare Conference

Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: RIGL) today announced that James M. Gower, the company's chairman and chief executive officer, is scheduled to present a corporate overview at the Bear Stearns 2005 London Healthcare Conference on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 4 p.m. BST in London, England.

Mr. Gower will update investors with respect to the company's clinical and other research and development activities. The presentation will not be webcast.
