Rigel to Presents at Upcoming Investors Conferences

Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: RIGL) today announced that its management will present an update of the company’s clinical and other research and development activities at the following upcoming investor conferences:

June 13, 2005, 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time: Thomas Weisel Partners Growth Forum 7.0 in San Francisco, CA. James M. Gower, Rigel’s chairman and chief executive officer, will be making the presentation; and

June 21, 2005, 9:45 a.m. Eastern Time: BIO 2005 Business Forum at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (Room E) in Philadelphia, PA. Raul Rodriguez, the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, will be making the presentation (this presentation will not be webcast).
