Rigel to Present at the 2005 FASEB Summer Research Conference

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - July 22, 2005

Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: RIGL) today announced that Esteban Masuda, Ph.D., director of Immunology, will present at the 2005 Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) Summer Research Conference on Immunoreceptors, being held July 23-28 at the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Masuda’s talk, “R406, a Potent and Selective Syk Kinase Inhibitor for the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis,” will take place at 4:10 p.m. on Monday, July 25th.
